Hollywood Unfiltered was founded by EIF, and is proud to have the Directors Guild of America (DGA), the Screen Actors Guild (SAG), the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP), and the International Alliance for Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) as partners of this campaign. The DGA partnership has resulted in a brochure mailing to all 12,000 DGA members and a feature article in the July 2004 edition of the Guild's magazine, and there will be ongoing communications and educational outreach to DGA members. To continue building support within the industry, Hollywood Unfiltered is developing partnerships with IATSE and other industry guilds.

| "I am acutely aware of the power and influence the visual media has in our culture and our society. I don't take that responsibility lightly. As a filmmaker, I also definitely believe in the right of a filmmaker to exercise final say on the decisions he or she makes during the course of making a movie." - LeVar Burton

But for movies made in the new millennium, we should have less smoking because there is less smoking in society." - Taylor Hackford

| "We all know that smoking kills. I make a great effort in the films that I do to exclude smoking but sometimes subject matter interferes." - Penelope Spheeris
