Created in 1942 by Samuel Goldwyn and other Hollywood legends, the Permanent Charities Committee of the Motion Picture Industry-now called the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF)-was founded on the belief that the entertainment industry is in a unique position to truly help others. As the philanthropic voice of the entertainment industry, EIF facilitates the collective power of the entire industry to raise awareness and funds for critical social issues in order to make a positive impact in our community and throughout the nation.
